Again, I find I need to apologize for my tardiness with regard to my blog.
My excuse this time is that I have just spent 10 days in the UK visiting my old frail mother and father and other family. I had my good traveling partner with me my daughter Erika, as she has not had an opportunity to visit with her grand parents for a long time. She has just finished her qualifications to be come an RN and we felt this was the right time for us to take the long flight back home, (for me. My daughter Erika is US).
Our flight took us via London on the way to Manchester. We both enjoyed the immediate feeling of being there in the UK. However, I have to say that my immediate observation was that the Brits are getting FAT!
My next observation was that there were no new trends to be seen. This became fact when we visited London for a couple of days later in the week to visit an old friend of mine who went to fashion school with me many years ago, and who is now a well paid textile designer for a French company.
There are still bare fat bellies (very cold in the UK) and silly words written across the backsides of mostly over weight people. Those with the UK "style" were in clothes of no real excitement or with no new story to tell. But the good news is, they are still very funny to be with and have a great sense of humor. Out spoken, opinionated, aggressive, animal lovers, and fun lovers! Sounds alot like me!
We arrived back in the LA on Saturday and went shopping on Sunday!
